Painting and creating puts me in a very private, prayerful place.  Since the age of 10, I knew that I wanted to be an artist. I came to realize that we are all given something in our hearts that we must do…a heart-driven desire; mine was the need to be creative in a painterly way. The recognition of that desire led me to a fine arts degree, which gave the instructional methods required to artistically produce the images that inspire and inform my life.              

As I go through my day, I become aware that I am framing things with my eyes, cropping subjects and examining the light and color.  I instill this way of seeing our everyday world in the young art students I teach.
